When my food arrive at about 10pm I order a second beer and the bartender asked if it should go on the tab with the food. However, around 9:45 I decided I wanted to order food. Paid cash for my first beer because I was planning to leave immediately after.

I go two or three times a month since I moved here and usually the service is glacier-like. I think my first visit I was just happy to find a decent bar near my place. Quite a few surprising taps including Old Rasputin, Foothills DIPA, and Highlands Winter Ale jumped out at me. Selection is much better than ther other locations I have visited. Been meaning to get around to this for a while. Selection includes a nice mix of draft locals and national micros, in addition to the typical macro junk, better than most of the chain but not on par with Falls or Village, beers are typically served in a shaker pint, or snifter where appropriate, service is normally quick and friendly, though beer knowledge isn't high among the general waitstaffįood is about on par with the other locations, pretty average for pub food but quality can suffer at timesĪ good stop if you're in the area, but if you want a bigger selection you may find the drive to the Falls location worthwhile Sep 19, 2009

SAWMILL TAPROOM MOVIE

Located just down Creedmoor from my parents' house, I've visited the Sawmill a few times over holidaysĪtmosphere is pretty consistent with the rest of the chain, bar separate from the dining area, walls loaded with movie paraphernalia that must be ordered wholesale from China, decent flatscreens, sort of a generic local tavern feel, can be way too smoky at time, but there's always the wooden patio overlooking the shopping center parking lot They will however offer you sample if you ask. The only down side is that many of the waitstaff are not knowledgeable about beer so asking for descriptions of the beers won't often work. The draft list changes every few weeks and the food is solid. The atmosphere is a little darker than the other locations and has the same music and movie memorabilia on the walls, but there are several flat screen TVs in the bar area usually showing sports for game day. The location is smaller inside than some of the others especially the bar area, but they have a lot of outside seating for those great NC spring and summer days. The food is the same menu as the other Tap Room locations good appetizers and burgers. They usually keep an updated draft list on each table. The night I was in they had Life and Limb and Dubhe Imperial Black IPA as well as a wide range of locals. They offer about 20+ craft beers on tap with a wide range of styles. Though this place is similar to the other Tap Room locations, the beer list is far better.
